My sister Kathy

Kathy was born in the Washington Hospital Center on December 6, 2004, when I was 4 years old. The first time I saw Kathy was when she was 2 days old. Mom had to stay at the hospital for one more day because the doctor wanted to make sure the mother and the baby were fine before they could go home. We decided the baby's name should be Kathy. Mom and Kathy were home in the morning the next day. When I went into the room, mom and Kathy were there. Kathy was drinking milk from mom.

At night month old, Kathy started crawling. I put a cloth in front of her face. Kathy just looked at it and crawled away into the kitchen. Grandpa taped that on his video camera. I felt happy because Kathy could finally play with me. She was trying very hard to climb up the stairs and she did it. But she was still trying to get down the stair. Kathy did not make it downstairs. But she could slide down on her tummy. At that time I played with Kathy after school everyday.

When Kathy first walked, Grandpa drew a picture of Kathy standing there on the calendar. The month was in January. I forgot what day it was. But Kathy still could not walk up the stairs. I felt happy because Kathy could walk. She sometimes played with me. Kathy always went on my bed to play. Soon she could walk down the stairs then. Now sometimes she slides down. I am happy that Kathy can walk down the stairs. Sometimes she pretends the stairs a slide and sits down and slides down.

I feel so happy about Kathy because when I didn't have a sister, I was bored. I didn't have anyone at my age to play with. When Kathy was a little bit older, she was so cute. Now Kathy talks just like me. But when she try to say "to do something", she says " I want need to do it". I love her so much. She is fun to play with and she shares her toys. Sometimes she doesn't share so I grab her things and she cries, because she likes it a lot. When mom tells her to write a 2, she always scribble scramble on the paper.

Today in the morning was cold. Dad woke me up. Today was school picture day. I wore red top. Dad took me to downstairs. I ate a peanut butter jelly sandwich for breakfast. Then Dad sent me to school. I read a book at the morning line. After the second ring of the bell, we went to class. I unpacked my backpack. I accidentally took my journal home. I read a book for morning work. Then someone picked us up for pictures. I got my background gray. Then we went back to class. Just when we went back, I received my book that I bought from the book fair. The book is call "What's Up?". It is a kind of diary. When we got back, we went to lunch. I ate a cheese sandwich. The sandwich had too much cheese so I didn't finish. The teachers called the quietest tables to get to recess.

Today we has indoor recess because it was raining outside. Mrs. Done's class came in with Ms. Roshan's class. I made a rain bow paper in the room with markers. After recess I went to math. At Mrs. Duvall's room, we did some measuring with paper clips. Mrs. Duvall gave us two papers for homework. Then at class, we packed up our backpacks. Then I went to Bar-T.

At Bat-T, I wrote in my "What's Up" book. By the time my mom picked me up, it was still raining and cloudy.

Pumpkins Patch - October 18

Butler's Orchard is 15 minutes away from my school. People come to pick strawberries, pumpkins and blueberries along the year. The park has a hayride through a small forest. The forest is now decorated with wooden ghosts, a board with eyes on it and scare crews for Halloween Season. Butler's Orchard also has slides, a tractor and a petting zoo. In the petting zoo there are pigs and chickens.

The hayride has a wagon full of hay and it has a little car in the front. The hayride goes through the small forest. I saw two ghosts. The hayride waiting line was long because there were a lot of people came to have field trips from different schools. The hayride was a long ride. In the forest the ghosts looked like they were floating because the strings to hang them were clear. At the end of the forest, we saw eyes on a black card board. There were so many eyes on the board. The hayride led to the pumpkins on the field.

When the wagon stopped, everyone stood up. The driver opened up the ladder to get us down. When it was my turn, I was scared to go. But I went down with help. At the bottom of the ladder, I jumped off. The blue team started picking pumpkins first. I was in the blue team. I got a heavy pumpkin. The teachers got a little wagon for our pumpkins because we all picked up the big pumpkins and they were so heavy. Then we had lunch. Everyone brought brown bag lunch from home because Butler's Orchard doesn't sell lunch.

After lunch the blue team played on the big slides. I went on the tunnel slide. I went on it a few times because I really like the ride. Then I petted a pig at the petting zoo. I saw a big green tractor, so I went in the tractor to play. The tractor had a slide inside. I went in the front seat. Then everyone got free apples. Those apples were small but red.

I wish I could go there again someday. If I do, I will player longer and Kathy will come too. I will get another pumpkin to bring home. I will ride the hayride and go through the maze again.

Today I woke up late in the morning. Kathy woke me up by yelling. I got dressed. Then I went downstairs to eat breakfast. I ate cereal for breakfast. Then I put on my sneakers. Dad dropped me off at school. I went to the media center to line-up. I returned my books. I got The Butterfly Alphabet book and Cam Janson and the Pizza Shop Mystery. When the bell rang, I went to class. In class I unpacked my backpack. Then I colored my data notebook with markers. Then I read a book. I finished The Butterfly Alphabet book before my teacher called us to come to the red rug. My teacher said it was time for reading and writing. We have groups of kids. I was in the strawberry group. First, the strawberry group did spelling. The spelling words were too easy for me. I finished faster than anyone. When it was time to switch, I went to Ms. Roshan. We read a book called "The Busy Beavers". Then we answered some questions about the problems. When we were done, we went to lunch. I bought my lunch. I also got water with my lunch. After we all ate, we went to recess.

At recess I played bats with my friends, Tierra and Sylvia. I was a bat. When the bell rang, we lined up on the black top. Our class argued about where our line was. When Ms. Roshan came, we went to class. I went to Mrs. Duvall for math. Today we worked in the packages. The package was easy and it was adding, subtracting and graphing. I was done the second. Then Mrs. Duvall gave us homeworks. Our homework today is regrouping. I went back to my class. Then we packed up. I got my mail box things. My mail box is where my papers are. I got my backpack. Then I went to the hall where the walker line was. When the bell rang, I went to Bar-T. At Bar-T I played Lava and Water game. By the time my mom picked me up, it was sunny outside. Shenandoah Park

Shenandoah Park is located in Virginia. The park is like an hour and a half away from where we live. People come to camp and see the Autumn leaves change from green to red and yellow. On the mountain people take pictures of the view under the mountains. The park is famous because its tree mostly have red an yellow leaves in fall. My parents want to go there because I can have a sense of fall. The park has a lot of things such as a water fall, a store, a restaurant, a hiking trail, mountains and a little forest. We also see birds, flowers, deer, bears and plants, When we are on the mountain, I see cities and grasses. When we were hiking, I see a little forest.

Shenandoah Park has the longest skyline in this area. The skyline has lots of outlooks. People stop by to take their time to enjoy the mountain view. People drive slowly so they can have a closer look. When we drove, we saw deer. We saw black baby bears crossing the skyline too. We also saw the forest. The forest is full of trees. There also is a little mountain where we stopped at and you can climb on it. When we saw the picture, mom looked like she was scared. I saw Kathy went pee-pee in the grass. We also took pictures of the mountains. I took a picture of mom and day. Dad took a picture of me and my foot.

The big meadow is an open are. It has a teeny woods. We went there after lunch. I ordered tadpole fish and French fries. Then I wanted macaroni and cheese. So I switched food with Kathy. In the teeny woods, I found a long hiking stick and a little stick for Kathy. We played in the teeny woods and ran in the tall grasses. On the way back, I was the leader. I kept stopping to talk. Dad and Kathy were slow pokes. When we got to the end, I dropped my hiking stick. There were tall grasses in the meadow all over the place. On the way back, we saw people lay on towels. When we come back we will bring two towels to take a nap on.

Later we walked to the waterfall on the forest trail. The path to the waterfall is long. We hiked to the waterfall. When we got to the waterfall, mom was disappointed and dad was too. I was happy. Dad and mom were a little upset because the waterfall was too small. I don't know why I was happy, but I like to see the waterfall. At the waterfall, we took pictures. I took a picture of mom. On the way back, mom found two hiking sticks for Kathy and me. Walking back was not as easy as going down. I was so tired that I could not walk up the stairs. When we got back, we went hiking to the little forest. I got another hiking stick. Then we hiked back. I was the leader. When we got to the edge, I dropped my stick. We crossed the road to go to our car. On the way home, I fell asleep. I woke up at night when we arrived at home.

The family trip was fun. I wish we could go there again. When we go there again, I am going to bring my own money and I am going to buy a little toy bird. The little bird makes a sound when you push it on the sticker on it.

Today in the morning it was very cold. It's much colder than yesterday. I think that fall is really here. Kathy woke me up. I was early to school. I went to the media center to line up. I returned my media books and I got new books. I got Cam Jamson and George and Martha. When I just check out the books the bell rang. My class went to our classroom. I unpacked my backpack. Then read a book. Ms. Roshan called us to to line up for computer lab. I went on the www.onemorestory.com. I read a book online. The book's title is "My Little Sister Ate One Hare". The book was about a girl ate one hare by throwing it in her mouth. It is a counting book for babies. I like the story. I will write a story about Kathy later. Then Ms. Roshan told my class to go back to classroom. I was the line leader. When we got back to class, we read some more. Then we sat on the red carpet. Ms. Roshan read us the book "Grandpa's Face". We did papers about the story. The paper asked us what the problem was. I forgot what time we went to lunch. But after lunch, we has recess. I played basketball with the girls. Some of the boys were on the girl's team because they thought the girls would lose. When the bell rang, my class lined up on the black top. Ms. Rosahn picked us up. Then we got back, I went to Mrs. Duvall for math. In math today, I did the work in my red folder. The work was adding, subtraction and graphing. I finished all the work so Mrs. Duvall gave me more work. When it was time to go, I got my work and I went to my class. Then we has a class meeting. We talked about what we were happy about. I said that I was happy about my teacher. Then we packed up . I went to Bar-T. In Bar-T I went to the computer lab again. By the time my mom picked me up, it was cloudy and cold. Mom gave me her coat. With her coat, I felt like a grown-up.

I still remember the book. Here they are,

we thought she throw up then and there
but she didn't

my little sister eat nine lizards
